The Act of Union between the two Grand Lodges of Free-Masons of England in 1813 declared that: "pure Antient Masonry consists of three degrees and no more, viz. those of the Entered Apprentice, the Fellow Craft and the Master Mason, including the Supreme Order of the Holy Royal Arch".
Master Masons will be aware that, on their being raised to that sublime degree, certain questions remained unanswered. On being exalted to the Supreme Order of the Holy Royal Arch the new companion of the chapter will finally uncover those missing details and complete his journey through"Pure Antient Masonry".
